Hello!
Basically when you put in an offer to buy, or sell, an item the person your offering to can choose to accept or deny the offer. If accepted, a chat/dm will be created for the 2 of you to discuss the trade; ie what time works best, who's island to go to for the trade, etc.. The chat stay available for 48hrs before it closes automatically so trades need to be preformed in that time or you'll have no way to contact each other after.
When you determine time and place, one of you would go to the airport and open up for online travel with a dodo code. You would then let the other know the code and they/you would travel using the code so you can swap items on the respective island.
