So my question is, if you give your villager a customized catchphrase, and then when that villager is in boxes someone else invites that villager to their island, will that villager still have the catchphrase that you gave them?
All of my villagers except one share the same customized catchphrase, so its something I'm curious about. I already tried googling this but I couldn't find anything, so I'm hoping someone here will know.

Yes, I believe that they keep the catchphrase and it can be changed by speaking with Isabelle.

Sorry if I phrased my question weirdly, but yes I know that catchphrases can transfer between villagers (I once had one villager give 4 other villagers her custom catchphrase in under an hour, and now that's the catchphrae all my villagers have) but what I was asking is if your villager moves to someone else's island if it will still have a catchphrase that you gave them.

Yes. If you give a villager a catchphrase, it will transfer to the next person they go to. However, that person should be able to remove it by going to Isabelle.
